I've got a desktop with this card in the MB: I've posted about the problems I'm having in the past; finally I had solved by using drm-legacy-kmod + xf86-video-ati-legacy. However, since the upgrade to XOrg 1.20 the latter is not viable anymore (it's marked broken and won't compile; there are patches around which allow for compilation again, but it will crash anyway). So I'll start over. Mainboard is an Asus M5A88-V Evo (latest BIOS installed), which features a Radeon HD 4250 with three outputs (VGA, DVI and HDMI): _ VGA works (but I'd like to avoid it due to static noise in the background); _ HDMI works until drm drivers are loaded (then screen goes black); _ DVI works until drm drivers are loaded, then the screen starts coming up and disappering (monitor entering power save mode) every 1-2 seconds. All the data requested in the wiki follows. Thanks in advance to anyone who will help. bye av. > # dmesg > ---<>--- > Copyright (c) 1992-2019 The FreeBSD Project. > Copyright (c) 1979, 1980, 1983, 1986, 1988, 1989, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994 > The Regents of the University of California.
