There is no panic or any other output, the machine is just totally unresponsive (network and console). When ACPI is disabled the same amounts of stress do not result in freebsd hanging. This happened on all my poweredge 860 (6 machines). I noticed it first while installing a whole bunch of packages at once, but this was difficult to repeat.
