What I've done:

I've been putting messages in regional newsgroups (i.e.
nz.reg.wellington.general). The local newspaper puts out an InfoTech
Weekly section which contains both a printed and an eletronic Diary
(http://www.infotech.co.nz/current/diary.html). IDG publish ComputerWorld
and they also printed something, or so I'm told as I have actually not
seen it.
