I don't know about config complaining about this option, it shouldn't
care about it.  But instead of using this I highly recommend you set
your 1542C DMA transfer speed in the BIOS and run the diagnostic to
make sure it works okay (let it run for at least 10 passes).  The
TUNE_1542 thing can cause data loss and or corruption if it thinks
it can run the controller faster than it really can (and this is
why that was optioned off by default).
