Ok, it turns out that 3c589D is exactly what card I was using. I have now purchased an IBM ethernet PCMCIA card and am getting farther but it's still not working: Unix says: ze: found card in slot 0 ze: at 0x300-0x31f irq 5 maddr 0xd8000 msize 16384 on isa ze: address 30:31:41:00:ff:1a, type IBM PCMCIA (16 bit), MAU 10baseT I then configure the IP address, etc., however when it gets to opening a connection it waits for a while and says: Couldn't open FTP connection to 171.69.113.50: Service not available, closing control connection. and my etherfind running on the same network doesn't see any packets coming from the system either. Suggestions? /raj
