This is because my new computer has a A7A266 motherboard. There is one bug logged against this board, dated 6/25. I gave up hope with FreeBSD-4.3. But now 4.4 has been released. So I went and looked everywhere for information on the status of this popular board. NOTHING! The bug has never been modified. All messages to any list (including my own) inquiring as to the this mobo's support have met with stone silence or irrelevant answers (like running xf86cfg again). So, how does one determine if a bug has been fixed other than spending several hours downloading each release as it is announced, trying it out, finding it doesn't work, and calling DaemonNews to cancel the next subscription ship? Short question: how do I get a developer's attention so I can get someone to work on this problem?
