Exactly. I think the best approach for now would be to improve the
explanations when it does bomb and also to insert dependency warnings
into the pkg/DESCR files. One good example is teTeX. A lot of things
need it, but it ain't there and -- as far as a newbie's concerned --
there's no sign of it.
