I have ported the new ATA driver to the FreeBSD/alpha. This provides
support for IDE disks and cdroms. The version of the driver in the tree
has only been tested on one old 433au machine so your mileage may vary
:-). For the adventurous, add these lines to your kernel config:

controller	ata0
device atadisk0	# ATA disk drives
device atapicd0	# ATAPI CDROM drives
device atapifd0	# ATAPI floppy drives
device atapist0	# ATAPI tape drives
