Sure you can. But you need to define MySQL 8.0 as default version before do=
ing
so. This is why I stated, that the problem will persist when MySQL 8.0 beco=
mes
a default version of MySQL. Until than you need at least some deeper knowle=
dge
to get in run. And in this case its easy to go back to the old Auth-method.

But we are currently working on a patch to fix this. moin supports me at the
moment - which means he writes and tests the patch to cover my lack of time=
. ;)
