This is perl, v5.8.9 built for i386-freebsd-thread-multi-64int

 cd /usr/ports/mail/razor-agents/

make install

Creating bzip'd tar ball in 
'/usr/ports/mail/razor-agents/work/razor-agents-2.84.tbz'
tar: lib/perl5/5.8/man/man3/Razor2::Errorhandler.3.gz: Cannot stat: No 
such file or directory
tar: lib/perl5/5.8/man/man3/Razor2::Preproc::deHTMLxs.3.gz: Cannot 
stat: No such file or directory
tar: lib/perl5/5.8/man/man3/Razor2::Syslog.3.gz: Cannot stat: No such 
file or directory
... etc

the problem is all the stuff is in lib/perl5/5.8.9/, not /5.8

How to tell make the correct dir?
