After setting up pppd, adn ppp with the help of  the  man pages, the
handbook adn others i have gotten myelf to a stage where after leaving
"cu" by ~.   , i keep  teh connection.  Typing in pppd cuaa0 115200 adn
hoping it will  run doesn't  work.  it simple does not do a thing.  i do
not get my promt back, i do not get any error msgs, nothing is recorded in
/var/log/messages and nothing happens.  Eventually the modem hangs up and
i end up with a phone call gone to waste.
If anyone has any ideas about this i woudl be gladly willing to listen to
them as  i personaly do not know wha to do.
