OK. It says:

load: 0.00 cmd: cc 38089 [temp] 0.00u 0.00s 0% 272k

I can ^C out of the make and I get a shell prompt back. I cannot, however,
get anything started from the shell prompt. The typed cmd is echoed, but
that is all.
