From: "Ted Mittelstaedt" To: , Cc: Subject: Re: kern/33939: network hungs for 1-3 minutes Date: Wed, 30 Jan 2002 02:08:54 -0800 There have been sporadic reports of flakiness of the Realtek 8029 "NE2000 clone" network cards on the FreeBSD mailing list. The symptoms described could have come as a result of bugs in the particular Realtek card revision, bugs in the /usr/src/sys/dev/ed/if_ed_pci.c driver, an incompatibility (like a mis-clock) on the motherboard, or a problem in the network itself. Please substitute a different network adapter and see if the problems go away or not. If they do then we know it's likely not a problem on your network or it's cabling.
