FreeBSD IS a unix server
FreeBSD is a complete UNIX Operating system,
as such you would run it instead of (say) NT or whatever.

isp addy?  I assume you mean an IP address?
FreeBSD itself does not require one but applications you run may want one
(e.g. netscape) this is a very incomplete answer but you are not
very forthcoming on  what you want to do..
