The remaining area is still though not always the same in different runs of the program. The camera with pwcview works at 320x240 and 640x480, but not at 352x288 (for the records, the same camera under 7.x and linux-gspca-kmod did work also at other resolutions, but linux-gspca-kmod is based on a different version of gspca so the problem might be there).
