Hello: I've been using ppp & /etc/ppp/ for connections to my ISP and very small changes to the "simplesite" and "ondemand" sections namely to specify MYADDR & HISADDR ip addresses. My question is when I telnet to anywhere, I have to suffix a ( port) 23 ie. telnet imagi.net 23. I don't understand why. I've seen the 4 lines at the end of the file about telnet for one as well as mention in the man pages etc but so far haven't seen anything about how it may be changed or what it really means etc. Can someone enlighten me please? I didn't know just what i should include in this message since the modifications to the .conf were ust to the lines specified. Thanks in advance for any info & thanks to the people creating this great package. One more question, please does anyone know when the subscription CD's from walnut Creek will be mailed out? I'm certainly not impatient I hope but next week I'll have some time to play with it. Again THANKS! --- Gary B.
