Well, the message is still wrong.  UTC is GMT, sort of, not the time
in England.

No.  In fact, you never do.  You only use adjkerntz if your computer's
clock runs local time (like Microsoft) instead of UTC (like UNIX).
About the only problem most people will have without adjkerntz is that
the BIOS time will look funny.  Obviously this won't affect you so
much.
