Actually, I had issues with a new Dell using the 4.2 floppies. It hung to no avail when booting as it tried to bring up the PCIC devices. 4.1.1 boot device floppies worked. I installed 4.2 from those floppies the first time, but it installed the 4.2 generic kernel, which for some reason hung as well.
