To: freebsd-questions@freebsd.org MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Sender: owner-freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk X-Loop: FreeBSD.ORG After installing 4.0-CURRENT I fiddled around with /etc/pccard.conf and managed to get it to pick up my modem. It now prints something like "sio4 on pccard0" or something like that. Now, how do I access this device? /dev/cuaa4 didn't exist, so I MAKEDEV'ed it, but whenever I cat the device, the entire system locks up completely, requiring a cold reboot. Help!! (please e-mail me, as I am not subscribed to the list) sorc_qd@yahoo.com __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Send instant messages & get email alerts with Yahoo!
