Yes, this is true.  SCO and Novell have agreed to let SCO purchase USL (or,
at least, the intellectual property rights to UNIX).

In a related issue, SCO, Novell, and HP have agreed to work together on
producing a 64-bit UNIX; both SCO and HP are aiming for the P7 target, which
HP is designing in conjunction with Intel.

Odds are that this means little to the FreeBSD community, with the possible
exception of some new jobs in California, the UK, and (possibly) New Jersey.
