Hello, I am running current as of yesterday and I built the Gnome port as of yesterdays CVSUP. My question is, has anybody had any luck starting Gnome under a similar circumstance. I have the following .xinitrc #!/bin/sh exec gnome-session I have enlightenment installed also, as of yesterday as well. The symptoms that I see are a simple server hang. It is not a true hang, but I never get a window manager or desktop, just the gray X-Windows screen with the X mouse pointer in the center. Nothing else. I start X using "startx -- -bpp 32". Why would this happen? I have followed the directions on the Gnome web page by placing the gnome-session exec in .xinitrc.
