Changing to polled improved things, somewhat.

Printing a 30k postscript file takes 2 minutes.

Sending an 9368 byte binary, printer control and setup file takes
approximately 1 minute.

This is very slow.  I will try to setup a DOS or WINNT machine to
duplicate this.
