Thanks Dru!

You know, it never occurred to me to look
at the UNIX Tips.

I get one in my inbox every day and have
really found a lot of them to be valuable indeed.
So much so, that I recommended the Daemon News
team include them in their new print publication, which
they have done.

Regards

Joe

Hi Joe,

There was a UGU tip that gave a simple shell script to ping all the hosts
in a host table:

http://www.ugu.com/sui/ugu/show?I=tip.1478&F=1111111111&G=Y

That might get you started on something to put into a cron script.
