This was a suggestion of yours that I followed nearly two
weeks ago. At least I got the newest /usr/share/mk files
	and a few in /etc.

-r--r--r-- 1 bin bin 53817 Nov 5 15:36 bsd.port.mk
-r--r--r-- 1 bin bin 2502 Nov 5 15:36 bsd.port.subdir.mk
-r--r--r-- 1 bin bin 1260 Mar 25 1997 bsd.subdir.mk
-r--r--r-- 1 bin bin 3945 Mar 25 1997 sys.mk
-r--r--r-- 1 bin bin 3540 Mar 25 1997 bsd.sgml.mk

	...

This from one upgrade tar file.

Hm. I see that I have two makeinfo binaries and am pointing
	to the one in /usr/bin::

pb 17:14 <tao> [880] ll `which makeinfo`
128 -r-xr-xr-x 1 bin bin 65536 Mar 25 1997 /usr/bin/makeinfo
pb 17:15 <tao> [881] ll /usr/local/bin/makeinfo
152 -rwxr-xr-x 1 root bin 77824 Nov 19 21:19 /usr/local/bin/makeinfo

I'll remove the earlier one in /usr/bin; but this doesn't
explain the date of the files in /usr/local/info.

	Or does it?
How many upgrade kits are there?

	thanks,

	gary
