https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=227356 Bug ID: 227356 Summary: lang/perl5.26: suggestion to set DEFAULT_VERSIONS=perl5=5.26 does not work if perl5.24 installed Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Some People Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: perl@FreeBSD.org Reporter: z7dr6ut7gs@snkmail.com Flags: maintainer-feedback?(perl@FreeBSD.org) Assignee: perl@FreeBSD.org A pre-everything check in lang/perl5.26 suggest that the user can set DEFAULT_VERSIONS=perl5=5.26 in make.conf to make perl5.26 install files as the default perl (bin/perl, bin/perl5, etc.). This fails if a different perl (e.g., perl5.24) is already installed. Even if this behavior is not changed, the wording of the pre-everything message should probably be clarified to account for this case. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
