I really want to upgrade > from a SB PCI128 :) > Don't know the current state of the default drivers, but you may wish to consider this: http://www.opensound.com/freebsd.html However, be aware this is a loadable module and may limit you to running a 'RELEASE' version of FreeBSD and you may need to build some apps by hand to fully utilise it, oh and it costs money too :-) I bought this years ago to support audio on an AST laptop that was at the time unsupported by FreeBSD, havn't had cause to use it recently.
