I had the same problem. On my harddrive there were this stupid program that where overriding bios options. It made it impossible to use the disc to anything but dos. The program where a special bootsector that poked around. When I had reformated the harddrive and set the bios settings as a 512 MB disc I could install freebsd and use the upper half of the disc, as long as the partition starts below the 512 MB limit. I use freebsd bootselector. I have a dos parttion before the freebsdone. If you do it this way it should work. /Tomas -- Tomas Klockar can be found at the following adresses: Kårhusvägen 4:23 | Furuvägen 102 | dateck@ludd.luth.se 977 54 Luleå | 871 52 Härnösand | dateck@solace.mh.se Tel: +46-920-231335 | Tel: +46-611-13393 | d94-tkl@sm.luth.se
