It did not recognize the free space om my hard disk (reduced the size of the DOS primary partition using PartitionMagic leaving 900 MB of free space). I thought it was because one of my logical drives in the DOS extended partition was FAT32. However, I also used PartitionMagic to convert my FAT32 into FAT16 and tried again to install FreeBSD. Same result! My PC has a Promise Technology Inc. ULTRA33 IDE controller. Could this be the cause of the problems ? I know for sure that it prevents me from installing Linux (confirmed by Red Hat and Promise Technology). Regards, Joris.
