Great idea - I know quite a few people around here (and further north in Africa) who'll love it. While we're talking about Feature requests; my portconf program received very minimal comment, and I'm sure it's not because the idea sucks. Check out http://people.FreeBSD.org/~nbm/portconf/ for a 8 month old, or so, idea of the program and concept. It basically means, at the end of the day, every port that needs it, can have a nice dialog (or gtk) selection window like the apache13-php3 port has. It's currently using xml, but I'll be happy to rewrite it in something that works better for others. I think this sort of thing will, without much effort, make port options more easy to use as a user, and implement, as a porter.
