--FCuugMFkClbJLl1L Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1 Content-Disposition: inline Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Hi, I downloaded the latest package from ftp://ooopackages.good-day.net/pub/OpenOffice.org/FreeBSD/2.0/FreeBSD6/OOo_= 2.0.0_FreeBSD60Intel_install_de.tbz and it fails with the following error message: % openoffice.org Illegal instruction (core dumped) I had a look at your log files on your ftp server, and I presume this because of the -mtune=3Dpentiumpro, because I tried it on CPU: AMD-K6(tm) 3D+ Processor (400.91-MHz 586-class CPU) Origin =3D "AuthenticAMD" Id =3D 0x591 Stepping =3D 1 Features=3D0x8021bf<FPU,VME,DE,PSE,TSC,MSR,MCE,CX8,PGE,MMX> AMD Features=3D0x80000800<SYSCALL,3DNow> (running 6.0-RC1). Does the -mtune give you a huge performance boost, your could you consider re-building the package with "-O -pipe", or maybe with "-O -pipe -march=3Dpentium"? I am not really keen on building OpenOffice on this machine, as you might understand :-) --=20 Best regards / Viele Gr=FC=DFe, barner@FreeBSD.= org Simon Barner barner@gmx.de --FCuugMFkClbJLl1L Content-Type: application/pgp-signature Content-Disposition: inline -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.2 (FreeBSD) iD8DBQFDZh7vCkn+/eutqCoRAkRZAJsFwBbOr+NLCyJ4Ki41drDKSE3qwwCgjSYI VR2ES9PhCQ2v+uvMj2iPEs4= =OGmc -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --FCuugMFkClbJLl1L--
