Hmm. perhaps I may be able to create and burn [both modes occurring in userland] with cdrtools. But certainly not to read or write in kernel mode yet AFAICT. I'll investigate udfclient, that is new to me as a userland tool. I was hoping for kernel level compatibility. As are, I suspect, we all :)
