I tried deleting base/db/repo-cache.db.  It seems to be rather 
important, in that "svn update" didn't work when svn-ing from this 
repository.

I am going to conclude, at least for now, that svn on CTM is 
impractical.  Or at least that CTM will need some complete rethinking.

If FreeBSD were to switch to svn, and stop supporting cvs, how many 
people would be negatively impacted by not having svn on CTM?
