The claim comes from the fact that Linux has a "pass-through" mechanism
that can make ATAPI devices look like SCSI.  If you're not using Linux,
you're SOL, though, AFAIK.  Wormcontrol(8) (as found in
/usr/share/examples/worm) is good for burning data CDs, but I've had
some problems burning audio CDs with it.  Might just be my drive though;
maybe you'll have better luck.
