Also autoselect selects right (eg. 100baseTX full-duplex with the cross-over, and 100baseTX half-duplex with the hub.) I also tried 10baseT/UTP settings these don't work either. If I run tcpdump I can see arp traffic going out from the machine but I never see any other traffic. If I couldn't just boot into a single processor kernel and it worked, I would suspect that it is a bad cable.
