I have setup my system for terminal dialin. Here is my entry in the /etc/gettytab file for my 56K zoom modem as the std.56700 does not work for my modem. # Entry for the Zoom 56K modem # zoom.v90:\ :ac=RING\r ATA\r CONNECT\r:ct#40:sp#115200:hw:np:mb:\ :ic="" ATH\r OK\r \p\pATM0E0Q0V1X0&K3\r OK\r ATS0=0\r OK\r: Here is the line I put in the /etc/ttys file: cuaa1 "/usr/libexec/getty zoom.v90" vt102 off insecure Now all documentation says use ttyd1 in the /etc/ttys file but if I replace the cuaa1 w/ ttyd1 this messages appears in my /var/log/messages file: May 24 12:58:24 nmsdialin getty[14893]: modem init problem on /dev/ttyd1 and I cannot establish a connection using ttyd1. However the /dev/cuaa1 works fine. Why does this happen? Thanks, Wayne To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
