Ever since I upgraded my machine from an AMD 4x86-120 to this AMD Athlon-600, I have had problems booting. This gets to be a bit tedious. I apologize for my last message to all of you about this problem, with none of this info included, but at that point, I couldn't even get the machine to boot. Please let me know if there is any other information I should give you. I would really like this problem to either be resolved, or a hack to make the ATA driver drop directly into PIO4 mode. (I have gone into the system BIOS and selected 'Load Fail-Safe' settings; I still get about a 80% boot-failure rate.)
