When I get to the point of building the kernel I get a number of syntax errors and the last line reports: Specify machine type, e.g. ``machine vax'' I tried to put single and double quotes to my "machine" line with no luck. The archives returned two questions on this and one answer suggesting to put quotes which I already did.
