hey all, ok heres the problem. I was working in Xwindows (using kde) with a normal user, then when i logged out and rebooted, came back and all of a sudden i was unable to get xwindows working (gave the following error) Fatal Server error xf86OpenConsole; server must be running with root permissions you should be using Xwrapper to start the server of xdm We strongly advise aginst making the server suid root! well i used Xwrapper, and it just opened a blank xwin console up and xdm said it only root wants to run it. Ok, now i know the answers in there (the error message) but i guess im just blind to see it any help would be greatly appreated. -Cyhawk To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
