I have to use Esc all the time... :( I'm used to switching windows in IRC clients with Alt+digit. emacs....... :( And what about xterm? That's my ~/.Xresources file: XTerm*eightBitInput: false XTerm*metaSendsEscape: true rxvt*modifier: alt It fixed rxvt, but xterm has the same problem as terminals (forgive me, but i'm not very good in English as you can see:)
