https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D217081 Bug ID: 217081 Summary: sysutils/filebeat port creates logs in /usr/local/sbin/ Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: girgen@FreeBSD.org Reporter: demon@FreeBSD.org Flags: maintainer-feedback?(girgen@FreeBSD.org) Assignee: girgen@FreeBSD.org Hello, I installed filebeat port version 5.2.0. After startup, it created /usr/local/sbin/logs/ directory (and writes log f= ile there) and /usr/local/sbin/data directory (with registry file inside). Probably startup script should provide sane defaults for logs and data directories to respect hier(7). Also, there is no reason for this daemon to run as root, so I'd execute it under "nobody" user. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
