Have a look at Lyx which is available in the ports collection. You'll
also need to install teTeX for full functionality. It's not a word
processor like MS-Word or Wordperfect but more of a document
processing package that is very close to WYSIWYG. 

Another alternative is to run MS-Word for DOS using pcemu (also in 
the ports collection).
