Last I messed with PXE some years back, this was the deal. :) Also, I recently read that the newest Dragonfly CD booted into a live filesystem, and could set up a PXE boot server. Sounds awfully nice to me, and even if you're not looking for Dragonfly, that CD might give you a good example on how to set up PXE boot on a FreeBSD-like system.
