The first place to ask would be the Amanda users mailing list, but I will try with some suggestions here. [snip] I would use dump instead of gtar for backup, unless gtar is required. You will have to change "runtape" to something greater then 1. You will also want to set "chunksize" under "holdingdisk". For a DDS4, simething around 1G should be good, to prevent too much slack. It will probable be very benificial for you to visit www.amanda.org and subscribe to amanda-users mailing list while trying to get your site setup.
