I followed the instructions in the handbook and when i get to the part that says to do "lptest > /dev/lpt0" i get no response from the printer. Here is the printer in my dmesg output: ppc0 at 0x378 irq 7 flags 0x40 on isa ppc0: SMC-like chipset (ECP/EPP/PS2/NIBBLE) in COMPATIBLE mode ppc0: FIFO with 16/16/16 bytes threshold ppb0: IEEE1284 device found /NIBBLE/ECP Probing for PnP devices on ppbus0: ppbus0: SCP,VLINK lpt0: on ppbus 0 lpt0: Interrupt-driven port ppi0: on ppbus 0 I am initializing it with lptcontrol -i -d /dev/lpt0. Anyone have any ideas as to what is wrong?
