Do you think Bug 273291 related with this?
The failure mode I've reported there is SIGSEGV, too.

If so, and if you are building firefox yourself, does the patch on Bug 2732=

Comment#32 which changes optimization level from -O3 to -O0 help?
It helps at least for 2 persons including me.

Note that the patch applies with some offset now, but still applies and wor=
ks.
