	Umm, I think that you'd need to mount the Zip drive as vfat type, not
msdos type.  Just like MS-DOS itself, the msdos type evidently
restricts you to 8.3 naming.

	Just a logical shot in the dark, since I'm not familiar with either
partition type under FreeBSD.
