I would suggest that now is not the time to get into doom and gloom discussions over how good/bad some one/idea/thing is to the FreeBSD project and concentrate on making 3.0 as good a release as we can. Once 3.0 is out, and the pressure is off for a while, revisiting the things that seemed to be so irritating now would likely put them in a more reasonable light. Personal attacks, flame wars and the like should be done in private, if they must be done at all.
