Hi... After my last posting, where at the very bottom I questioned my CFLAGS, I went into make.conf and removed the LDFLAGS=-static line I had added in... ...it compiles now. So, the question remains...what is it about lkm that its functions can't be statically linked? I'm not 100% certain of what lkm does, from the name, I would derive that it deals with kernel memory and possibly links from software to it? *shrug* Wild guess.. Marc G.
