--- Comment #126 from Emmanuel Vadot <manu@freebsd.org> ---
(In reply to Jan Beich from comment #120)

This is also needed when using the xf86-input-keyboard driver, well, when y=
ou
think that you're using it as you didn't set any permission to
/dev/input/event*.=20
Since Xorg is suid if will use those devices.
So that patch also deprecates xf86-input-mouse and xf86-input-keyboard (for
someone using GENERIC) which is fine for me.
And since xf86-input-libinput is in the meta package xorg-drivers it should=
 be
installed on most machine and if it isn't, it's easy to fix a broken config
after upgrading xorg by installing it.

Wulf: could you add this snippet to
/usr/local/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-kdb.conf and install this file ?
Or maybe find why it's behaving like this (I'm not familiar with xorg
internals).

Otherwise the patch is ok for me and tested on 13 amd64, I'm waiting for my
build to finish for 12.1

This should be commited rather sooner than later as I'd like to have it in =
the
next quarterly run (April) and having a full month to debug possible issues.
