I myself would be upset if the linux_base ports was updated without
further changes.  It causes breakage to linux netscape.  (I know that a
symlink was suggested as a solution, but that is only a partial
solution.)

How about instead if there is a new port - linux_base-current or
something like that.  That way if people wish to risk the breakage or
need the updates, they can do it.
